モトコルセエキゾーストシステムのスタンダードである「ロブスターテイルデザイン」は、極限のエンジンパワーを追求するMotoGPマシンにおいても現在ではスタンダードとなっている手法です。チタニウムシートから一つ一つ形状が異なるパーツを切出しリング状に溶接、それらを連続して繋ぎ合わせることで楕円が真円に変化しながら同時にカーブをさせるという大変複雑なデザインも可能で、その設計はもとより高精度の切断と緻密な溶接技術が要求される大変手間の掛かる製法です。モトコルセでは既に２０年以上前に開発、以降蓄積したノウハウにより改良を繰り返しています。

エンジンに絶妙なクリアランスで寄り添うエキゾーストパイプはまるでオリジナルデザインかの様に車体との一体感と迫力を醸し出し、ライディングと共に少しずつ変化していく美しい焼け色、チタニウムブルーのグラデーションが格別の雰囲気を楽しませてくれます。特に本製品ではロブスターテイルデザインをヘッダーパイプだけでなくサイレンサーに繋がる極太のテイルパイプにも活用した機能美溢れるエキゾーストシステムです。ヘッダーパイプにはチタン削り出しによるマウスピースとフランジを持つ、Φ42.7mmロブスターテイルデザインのエキゾーストパイプはその管長を出来る限り長く稼ぐために新設計した4-2-1タイプのコレクターパイプから触媒へ、そしてサイレンサー径に合わせた極太のロブスターテイルデザインのテイルパイプからサイレンサーへ流れる様に美しく繋がります。製造過程において極めて慎重な扱いを求められるチタニウム素材そのままの美しい地肌を生かしたコンパクトでクリーンなデザインのラウンドテーパーサイレンサーには金型成形によるティーアードロップフェース・エンドキャップにレーザーカッティングのハニカムメッシュを一体構造としたアフターマーケットで唯一のデザインです。すべてにおいてモトコルセの最新のエキゾーストシステムテクノロジーを余すことなく注ぎ込み、手間とコストを無視し徹底して造り込みました。

STDエキゾーストシステムに対し、12.2 ps 12%ものパワーアップを実現、ボアアップしたかの様に低回転から高回転域まで全域に及ぶパワーアップをもたらします。重量はSTDの11.9kgに対し触媒装着にも関わらず3.2kgとマイナス8.7kg／73%もの軽量化を実現、ECUの燃調も不要確認済です。Z900RSのパフォーマンスを飛躍的に向上させるスペシャルエキゾーストシステムです。

The "Lobster Tail Design" incorporated into MOTO CORSE's Exhaust System is currently a standard practice for MotoGP machines that pursues maximum engine power. The "Lobster Tail Design" Exhaust System is made of multiple thin titanium sheets in various shapes, rolled and welded together into a ring form which again is welded and tempered into a 3 dimensional curved surface. The design in which the exhaust pipe transforms from an oval shape to a circular shape while curving is very complex and requires extremely high welding technique and huge amount of time and effort. MOTO CORSE has developed the "Lobster Tail Design" from the early stages allowing to take full advantage of more than 20years worth of accumilated know-how. The positioning of the exhaust pipe which gives an intricate clearance from the engine gives off sence of unity and strength making it as if this MOTO CORSE exhaust system is the original design, and the beautiful color of the anodizing titanium blue gradation while riding over time gives the owner enjoyment of its special atmosphere. This particular product uses the "Lobster Tail Design" not only on the header pipe but also on the tail pipe making it an exhaust system full of functional beauty.

The header pipe has a flange and mouth piece carved out of titanium. The φ42.7mm "Lobster Tail Design" exhaust pipe is equipped with the newly designed 4-2-1 type collector pipe in order to earn as much pipe length as possible. Behind the 4-2-1 type collector pipe is the large radius "Lobster Tail Design" tail pipe beatifully flowing into the round tapered silencer with the teardrop face / lazer cut honeycomb mesh endcap. The whole compossition of the exhaust system uses MOTO CORSE's latest exhaust system technology ignoring the production cost and effot for a high quality build.

This exhaust allows the engine to give 12.2ps (equivalent to 12%) more power to the low rev. to high rev. range as if the engine has been bored up. The weight compared to the 11.9kg standard exhaust this special exhaust system for the Z900RS is 3.2kg, -8.7kg / 73% lighter, even with the catalistic converter equipped. Have confirmed that ECU tuning or upgrade is not nesessary. Undoubtly the ideal exhaust system for the Z900RS boosting its performance and beauty.
